Yeah I ended up going in and giving him kisses and his dummy back. Lol. Now he's still crying with the dummy in his mouth, poor little mite.
Last night DH and I reckoned we each got up at least 5 times  But then he has some nights where he sleeps through, or some nights where he only wakes at 4am and 6am or something. So maybe it's because he's had such a busy time the last couple of days with lots of people in the house and around and stuff, just been a bit overwhelming or something.

Why are you wanting to wean her off the dummy?
The most important thing about weaning them off the dummy as with everything to do with babies is consistency! You don't want to give them mixed messages as that will cause confusion and more upsets.
What happens if you put her to bed with the dummy and go back in there when she's drowsy and just about asleep and take the dummy out of her mouth?
Have a look at this link, read thru the whole article and see if you can take things out of the article that will help you wean Kylah. This might help you with getting her to sleep thru the night as well. Perhaps look at starting it over the weekend because it's going to take hard work and committment.
Keep in mind that she is talking about bf/ff and dummies.

K-A ~ We didn't have a chance to 'wean' Keziah of her dummy she only used it for about 3 months before she decided NAH, that wont work to put me to sleep... she just plays with it now... occasionally she'll put the edge in her mouth but if the nipple goes near her gob at all she gags LOL

Kandice-yeah and he's always been like that every night since he was born..they say he;s had growth spurt and then sick then growth spurt etc...but most nights it's twice at least.. i used to feed him if more than three but he doesn't really need it till later on..
same with us Liz in terms of some night.s.....although i get up every time all night every night and I'm really over it:( (mostly cause it cant be good for his sleep or for me:( doing it by myself sucks..

OMG he must have read me writing this....mad ea liar out of me all afternoon and now last two morning sleeps he hasnt wanted dummy and has gone straight to sleep..weird!

I did it at about 4-5 months I think KA. It was absolute hell but seriously if you're getting up that much I would just put up with the constant screaming for 2 days and get it over and done with. You need to be consistent though. I only caved once when we were out but it was right at the start, then when I got home I put both his dummies in his nappy bin so I would never get them out.
Jack still has his moments but he's a baby, that's what they do. I don't think that anyone, whether they used a dummy or not, doesn't have to put up with a bit of crying/screaming every once in a while.

yeah i should clarify the bit of crying thing is fine with me...well not fine but I'm getting better:) as you say i think for me it's time to bite the bullet..i dont mind the dummy but the getting up is annoying..esp by myself:(
he's onto his third day sleep without it..I've tried before and he has cried and cried and cried for it...no crying t all this time..weird.. so on Friday when Dh is here and agreed to help me all weekend we are going to do no dummy ...

hmmm he must have heard me been crying for 20 mins on and off till i gave him dummy..we have millions here...friday evening will have to cut them all up fr throw them all out...:(
