Don't be embarrassed Tiff! That's exactly what I did/do with all four of my babies and it didn't do them any harm! I'd swaddle them then put them in the safety sleep to keep them in, and I do it right from birth so they get used to it. Using the safety sleep also made transitioning from swaddling much easier.

Tiff I agree with maya, I don't thin kyou should be embarassed at all! you need to do WHATEVER works for you and your baby to get the maximum sleep!!!!
I have quite a few customers who use the Peke moe and a safety sleep with much success. The babies hands are covered and don't have to be locked down at their side, but they are secure.. some start by still tucking their arms into the safety sleep. I haven't used one of them before, but I think if it works, AWESOME! :)
I have a mum who's just bought a Peke Moe for her baby who was wrapped and on tummy! and she's really pleased that the Peke Moe will allow her to stay 'covered' within it but use her hands/arms while on her tummy.!
All the best! :)

DOn't be embarrassed Tiff:) We wrap and safety sleep...we tried without wrap but for a week he slept then he just wouldn't anymore...wrapping dummying and safety sleeping is just what he needs to sleep..he cries when we wrap him but only cause he's tired...we put dummy in then he goes to sleep.. :) so we will probably leave him wrapped until we take dummy off him..

Thanks everyone, I agree you do what you have to do, and it has worked very well for us

Rohann slept through again with one arm out (yay) and has had two naps of an hour each so far today which was better than yesterdays 45mins ones, so fingers crossed she is going to do well un-wrapped. Though am still seriously thinking about the peke moe, however even though she's not that old I think I would need the bigger sized one as she isn't the smallest/shortest girl

yippee - you guys have made feel so much better. Last night I tried pinning up the arm holes in a sleeping bag but didn't feel bery good about it so it only lasted about half an hour. I think a safety sleep will have to go on our shopping list!
