Self weaning, or something else??

Keziah has decided that she doesn't want to take a bottle anymore.. she'll take a few sips and then push it out with her tounge and/or hands and will just look at me like to say.. I am SO not taking that bottle, I'm a big girl now

She's been sick for just over a week and has been taking bottles fine up until today (thankfully as she wasn't taking anything else) maybe now she doesn't feel she needs it? or maybe it's the taste of the formula (S26 Toddler Gold)

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

U sure she not still sick? If she has sore teeth or an ear infection sucking can hurt.
Have u treid giving the milk in something else? Isla still has her milk in one of those $2 straw cups from woolworths/the warehouse. She might not take as much like that as she did from a bottle, but at least its something.

She has an ear infection and has been drinking water and formula fine (in both a sippy cup and a bottle) but I suppose the whole sucking action could be hurting a little.
She wont drink from a straw yet so that option is out, but I've taken the valve off her sippy cup so she doesn't have to suck as it just runs out.. so will give that a go tomorrow cause even if it's not a whole lot at least it's something aye?

Thanks Kellz

It might improve as she gets better. My neice has had tonnes of ear infections and never been off her milk, but Isla has only had one bad one, and she just would not have her bottle at all.
Try giving her pamol 1/2 hr proir to her bottle too, while she still has the ear infection, that just might be enough to rellieve the disconfort.

My eldest stopped havin bottles by 11 months so she may just not want them anymore and she will be fine - maybe try giving her milk from a sippy cup instead

She doesnt need bottles anymore so if she is refusing them then I would just go with it.

Thanks ladies

I'll give the sippy cup a go tomorrow and try again once she's better (i.e her ear has healed) and if all else fails we may have weaned altogether.

She did this when we went from boob to bottle too (and the dummy) I guess my girl just likes to wean herself from things and do it all her way or no way at all LOL just like her mummy
