Sleep should he be having now.
He used to wake at 8am go back down at 9am then sleep till 1100 sometime 1130 then back down again at 1200 and sleep through till 3pm back down at 530/6pm for the night
BUT at the moment he has been cutting his morning sleep from 9-10ish then he wants up and is wanting bed again at 1130 sometimes earlier. He can self settle and does in his afternoon sleep so is he just changing his sleeping pattern because he needs less sleep?

Wow, you've been lucky! That's HEAPS of sleep! Wouldn't surprise me at all if he is starting to need a little less than that.

At that age JJ was needing to be up for 60-90 mins at a time, he's changing his patterns again now to need yet longer awake times (but he's sleeping more at a time too).

I think around that time DD started waking after a 45 minute sleep during the day! Sometimes she would take the dummy and go back to sleep, others I would get her up. She also started staying awake for 1 hour 15 - 1 hour 30 minutes at a time, so yes, sleeping patterns probably just changing :)

First - Cian quite often only has 45 mins-hour sleep these days. Yesterday he was just totally wired and I counted a total of 3 hours sleep between 5.30am and 6pm!!! He was showing all the usual tired signs but just wouldn't go down... Felt like I spent most of the afternoon trying to get him to sleep. Oh well, at least he wasn't crying - just cooing away and grinning at me...
