Hi there,

I breastfeed my son and just lately he has started biting and pulling off the breast and it really hurts! He also gets top ups with formula a few times a day and has started to get a little fussy with the bottle. Not sure what is going on at the moment? Any suggestions anyone??

Hannah's started doing that in the last week or so.
Luckily, she has no teeth, but her gums are damn hard!

Nothing I seem to do stops her from doing it.
DH thinks it's her way of telling me she's had enough, so I let her play (*eta: with her toys, not with me ) for 10 minutes and try again. If she's still biting, then I just assume she's no longer hungry.

Sorry - I'm not much help. Just wanted to let you know the same thing's happening here and I'll watch this thread for advice, too.

DD has been doing this to me as well and I wondered if she was becoming quicker at feeding, so has had enough? I also try her again a bit later on to see if she wants more

It could be his way of slowing down your let down maybe?? I had something similar a couple of weeks ago and MW said it was that... You could try changing your feeding position?
