During the day Ava (6 months old) can't stay up any more than 1 1/2 hours before getting very cranky. She is on 3 solid meals a day.

Jackson is up for two hours at a time. He definately will happily go to bed at the 2hr mark. He can manage up to 3 hours before getting reeealllly cranky, but I don't like him to have to go that long.

Jackson's not on any solids yet.

Finley has 1 or 2 lots of solids and manages two hours on the dot, no longer no shorter.

A lady at my ante natal group her baby is the same age as Finley and she can only manage an hour before it all turns to custard so they vary hugely I think.

My girls are 9 months and extreme sleepers (not that I'm complaining) The do 12 hours at night and 2, 2 hour naps during the day. Although after 2 or 3 hours of being up they start rubbing their eyes and getting cranking. I wouldn't stress, They do such an incredible amount of physical and mental growth in the first couple of years that they need all the sleep they can get! In fact my theory is the more they sleep the better they are probably developing.

Caden had 2 days sleeps and usually goes to bed for the night by 7-8, sometimes sooner.
he has been like that since he was about...5 months old. Some days he will have 3 sleeps, but thats very rare, he wont have a bar of it, but he sleeps through the night, so Im not complaining lol

He usually wakes at 7-7.30am, has a bottle, then an hour or so later his cereal, then he plays until about 10-11am and goes down for a nap, sleeping for a couple or hours.
Then he gets up has his lunch, then a bottle, plays for however long, then back down for a nap by 2pm or 3pm, then he gets up has a bottle, and now im offering a snack, then he has dinner at like 5.30-6.30pm, plays for a bit while we have dinner, then has his shower, then into bed with his bottle, and down for the night.

Joel is 1.5 - 2 hrs all the time. Sometimes late afternoon he will go to bed but not sleep, just talks and squeals for half an hour then he gets back up....just needs some down time I think.

I don't think solids makes a huge difference..at least not to all babies.. E has always had three sleeps till recently.. at 6 months wouldn't stay up longer than 1.5 hours so I wouldn't worry too much you maybe just lucky and have one who likes to sleep(mine still does full night sleep and 2 2hour sleeps:)

I used to be worried about how much mine sleep (now I just count my blessings - yay for good sleepers). They are 6mnths & eating breakfast & lunch. They are amazing sleepers, in the morning they are only awake for 45min then back to sleep for 2hrs then up anywhere between 1 to 2hrs (usually 1 1/2) then asleep again for 2 hrs etc etc until bedtime at 7pm ish.

Actually since they started solids or maybe it's just age they are awake less during the morning but will often be awake more in the afternoon (max 2hrs awake). We used to have them going to bed at 8pm (feeds every 4hrs: 8,12,4,8) but now they've just moved their night routine forward no matter what we do so it's now: 8am, 11.30, 3, 6.30pm feed.

My boys are low on Iron so not sure if that's got anything to do with it (Dr said it shouldn't affect their sleeping though).
3yr old gorgeous ID twin boys.

Isobelle can only do 1 to 1.5 hours up but is usually displaying all her tired signs after an hour. Only 4 months old and not ready for solids yet.

Mine do two hours up at a time before they want to go to bed. They have 3 sleeps a day, between 9-10am, 12-2pm and 4-4:45pm and in bed at 7pm and sleep to 7am! The routine is the same regardless of how much they eat or sleep.

My little one can do 1 1/2 hours up but that is a stretch, she has 2 naps under an hour and after her lunch a 2 hour nap. She has her bath at 5.30pm and feed at 6pm. She has a bottle around 9pm she rarely sleeps between 6-9.

She isnt sleeping through the night the naughty girl.

From about 3 or 4 weeks McKayla had two naps of 15 min each to a max of half an hour. Went to bed at 10 and was up at 5 or 6 in the morning and the rest of the time she was super active.

However she was definately not the "norm".

If you are really worried go to your GP and let them test your bubs iron levels. Sometimes a bit of a low level means less activity and more sleeping.
