Im just starting to give Ava mashed and more lumpy solid foods. She has been on solids for a month so i figured it was time. I am using the Watties 6-7 month red tins.

Anyway, she always gags on the mashed/slightly lumpier food and goes "gaahhh". Shes not choking - just gagging.

Is this normal? should i just continue with it so she gets used to the texture?

Ditto! I've had to loosen up a lot about gagging, but am now (usually) relaxed about it!

Yep, Caden does the Gaahh noise aswell and kind of coughs and splutters on certain things. I just sit with him when he eats and watch him, but I try and not worry so much now as he usually sorts himself out fine.
Im like flissty, and *uaully* relaxed lol
