I have a P&T sports buggy and DD does not seem to like lying down in it as she cannot really see much. She actually trys to pull herself up it seems by lifting her head and upper body up (almost like an ab crunch LOL!)
My question is can I have her in the seated position when she cannot actually sit on her own. I am sure that I cant but she just cries when she is in the pram.
It should be fine to start sitting her up a bit but she will probably need a head support for a while. Most little ones are happier once they can see something other than the sky!!
I agree but I would suggest the head insert and it really does support the head and just make sure that she isn't crunched up in the chest/tummy region so she is breathing okay.
Does the buggy have a semi upright position - like not straight up but leaning back slightly. Henry liked that position a lot and because he had reflux we actually let him sleep in the pram with it up like that quite a bit because it was more comfortable and eased the burning. If she has relatively good head control it should be fine - she must have it pretty good if shes trying to lift her head to see.
Yeah she will be fine, she is strapped in so she cant fall out, and just use a head support thingy aswell. We had Caden sitting up in his from about that age and he loved it, sometimes they just want to see what's going on
Lily was sitting up from pretty early on too - she loves looking around - just make sure your baby is all strapped in - and if they fall asleep, tilt it back again so the neck doesn't get all squished.
I was surprised recently when a friend of mine still had her baby titled fully back on their back at 6 months! Poor thing!
I've got a P & T's too and because Brooke was quite refluxy when she was newborn, we never used the full lieback option. We always used the next option up as we didn't want to lie her flat, and we added extra head support with folded up cotton nappy.
I had C in the buggy on the weekend & he was so grumbly & then I realised he couldn't see as DH had fully reclined it back, we have a MB. I put it up & he was happy as larry watching the goings on. He got pee'd that I had the shade cover on as well!! They love to see I think. We have a sheep skin that folds up & is kinda like a wedge each side.
