sorry to say but Iost all my baby weight (11KG) by about 4 weeks and currently 4kg under pre preg weight so lost 15kg easy buuuut still over my ideal weight. So glad the "weight drops off while bf" worked for me.

Re flat head, I just continually move Taylas head to the left as she favors the right also. I don't worry too much at night cos during the day I can watch her and has lots of tummy time but the wedge is a great thing also

Wow! That's good for you! I guess it's luck cuz some people do and some people don't.  I was about to buy one of those sleep wedges when I just decided to give the rolled blanket behind the head another go and it has worked. Plus the fact that people keep saying it'll go away esp if you give lots of tummy time...and he has been! So I've noticed a bit of an improvement over the past few days.

I was going to ask the same question about losing weight. I believed the 'bf will make the weight fall off you' line - what a crock thats turned out to be!

Someone in my AN group told me that you have to wait an hour after exercise before bf - does anyone know if this is true? Am using that as my excuse not to get on the cross trainer at the moment but am thinking its probably a crock too??? (had something to do with affecting milk quality??)

haven't heard that line LG. Can't imagine that it would affect your supply but are you really gonna make your baby wait if he/she is hungry? I just work out once DS has gone to bed b/c it means I don't have to stop during my session and give him a sweaty boob.  gross!

Well I can attest to the weight falling off while bfing but it's been added to by the effects of ongoing sleep deprivation to an extreme, 3 lots of antibiotics (some I HAD to eat food with but made me feel awful, and some that I HAD to eat on an empty stomach - hello, how is that possible if you're bfing??!) and 2 lots of mastitis. All in all, for the first time in my life, I've been off my food and forgetting to eat.

All that aside though... Niecey I suggest taking Ishan to an osteopath. Bethany had the same thing with favouring one side and getting a flat head, so we took her to a cranial osteopath (I'm in Aucks too so might be able to recommend someone to you if u like?) and it really made a difference cuz it turned out that she had a tight neck/shoulder on one side (think she twisted it as she was born). Time has helped too, now that she's on her tummy & sitting & upright more it's a lot less noticeable. Hope that helps
