Hi all
Mum bought me and Evenflo capsule and base for our very shortly to arrive bay.
I have just been trying to fit it in our 4WD and it almost kinda seems to big to go behind the passenger seat as that seat will have to be way forward by the look of it (tis possible i have stuffed something up though)
can they be placed in the middle or where is the recomended position for them?
Plunket told me the middle is the most recommended spot cause that way if you're in a crash they're as far as possible from the impact IYKWIM...
having said that - we had our capsule behind the passenger seat cause that's where it sat best, and have just had to put Cians new seat in the middle (cause of where the bolt is) and I hate it!! so much harder to get him in and out of - i actually have to crawl into the car to get him.
I wouldnt think so .. most capsules take up a tonne of room (as do rear facing carseats) and most people have to have the passenger seat very far forward.
Even my friends with a huge landrover had to put the passenger seat far forward, so much so that only the wife could fit in the passenger seat and only just lol
When Issy was in a capsule .. my DH couldnt fit in the passenger side, so he used to sit in the back with her if I was driving.
We couldnt have put it in the middle because the drivers seat would have to go forward and then we wouldnt have been able to drive

I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog
okay so carrier fits nicely into middle spot - only pain is the handle when in car position is still a little too far out but will just have to make do (unless of course it can be kept in carry position but that will require me to have another read of the manual which i will do later )
All I can say is, make sure you read your capsule instructions carefully - I've used 3 different ones, one where the handle *had* to be up while driving, one where it *had* to be down behind baby's head and one where it *had* to be down by baby's feet. Insane!!! So just double check which it is for yours
