My wee one is a very spilly baby and I have noticed that her spilling is making her white clothes/bibs not white anymore.

We use eco store laundry powder as my DH had bad eczema when he was little.

Does anyone know what I can use as a stain remover that isn't full of chemicals that works to gets whites back to being white?

I don't dry her clothes outside, I hang them in the ceiling as it is really warm up in there.... does drying in the sun really fade stains? If so would that work?

According to my mum (and yes mothers do know best) The sun works magic on stains. I think she was talking about #2 stains though, not sure about baby spew. hmmmm.

Oh, maybe you just need to dress Eva in more pink Or she could go Emo and start wearing black. (I find it hides stains for me. )

We've had no success with baby spill stains. Ollie has a whole pile of bibs that are now a sort of pinky colour. We tried soaking, nappy san, sun but nothing works!

I avoid white like the plague! But I have found that ecostore powder (soak them in it then wash) and hanging in the sun for at least a day will get out most things.

Mel the sun is like magic! After our poo-splosion on the plane I washed the pants and dried them in the dryer, and they were stained. When we got home I hung them on the line (dry, didn't re-wash them) half a day in the sun and the stain was completely gone. Don't know if it works on stains other than poo, don't know why it wouldn't though.

Lol Ang, Eva is almost always in pink, everyone always buys pink for her. Her white clothes are mainly bibs and her two nighties.

I will try and hang them in the sun and see if it works.

Lol Sarah I have a copule of flannels with poo stains on them... don't know why I haven't thought of putting them in the sun sooner, baby brain??

I use Next Generation whitner/soaker and it's fantastic, gets rid of most stains I've found including baby spills. I had clothes stored away from Carys which I washed before I put away, but when I got them out they had milk stains on them. I soaked them for a day and re-washed and now it's all gone :-)

The sun is great, it will get rid of tomato and orange stains no problem. Grass stains also fade.

I agree with everyone saying the sun is a great stain remover! I wash all my baby clothes with Amolin liquid, which is good for sensitive skin, and I don't seem to have any problems with spilled milk stains (and my boy spills a fair bit).
