Hey, sorry this is a TMI question ... my blood loss has been slowing and was minimal over the last 20 odd hours .... but I've been up and moving a bit more this morning (had a c section so have rested quite a bit over the last week) and I had a big loss (ie like back in the first 48 hours) for about 30mins. I'm sitting back down now and it seems to have slowed down. Do you think its just from getting up and doing more? Or should I be ringing the midwife to let her know? Thanks.

It will be from moving about. Go for a walk...that's kinda fun

The mid wife will only worry if you have big clots.

Yeah this time around every time i had a busy day I had a load of blood loss, then it would go to next to nothing.

I had huge clots after my c/s with Spencer, some as big as golf balls, was told it was normal but I would let your mw know anyway. I always thought it was strange especially as I was having that anticlotting stuff when it happened.

After my C Section my MW told me that my bleeding would sttle down, then I might all of a sudden get lots of red blood again, especially if I had done too much. I also passed a few clots, biggish but not big enough to worry, they were like....50c coin size I guess, I let my MW know and she said thats ok, but if they were quite large and followed by a lot of red blood then ring her.

I bled after my c section for 6 weeks, and I had random stop and start red blood for about 4 weeks.

ETA- Old 50c coin size I should say!

Yup. sounds like what I had. MW told me if I bleed like that to take it a bit easier as I had done too much. Bit harder when you have another child to look after I am sure!

Its a it scarey and darn annoying especially when you have not bleed for a few days and it comes back. Grrr...

Nikki - I could've written the same post! Yesterday I had the same kinda thing happen most of the day, but the day before I had done quite a bit more than I had been doing. Good to hear that its quite normal, thought if it was as bad today might have rung MW but has seemed to slow again

Also if you don't pee frequently enough and your bladder gets full, you can get more blood loss. Random fact for the day. So drink lots, pee lots and don't exercise
