Hi there lovely ladies
I am just after some suggestions, now that Brennan is better at sleeping there is the possibility of him staying at Grans etc and are wondering weither we get a portacot or something like a P&T Wriggle wrap. Im like the P&T because he is used to sleeping in our bed sometimes and also the double use of using it as a highchair would be very handy. Or should we just get a portacot??
I haven't used a wriggle wrap but I would think that if he isn't used to being strapped down that it would take him a fair bit of getting used to it. You would likely have to use it all the time in your cot just so that you can use it when you are out.
I have a portacot and its great. It doesn't take much to set it up and we got it off trademe so it was nice a cheap. I think it gives my boy some of his own space that he is used to. He knows that that's his bed when we go out. If you used the wrap then the bed may always be changing each time you go out.
To throw a spanner in the works ... I would get a "cheap" cot if its going to be an ongoing arrangement ... Issy has her own cot at the grandparents we picked it up off tm, so she is more aware its sleeptime as its the same as at home.
I dont like the way a wriggle wrap pins them in one position at least a safety sleep allows them to wriggle and even roll when they are bigger (if you dont pin it)
Mummy to Issy (3) and Elias (18 months)
I did it .. 41 kgs gone! From flab to fab in under a year LFs weight blog
We have a wriggle wrap and we keep it in the boot of the car for times he needs to go down for a sleep somewhere and there's nothing elsemore suitable. He took to it straight away. In saying that for overnight sleeps I wouldn't use it as I think that it's too restrictive for such a length of time.
What about the travel safetsleep?. We got one of those and it will go from a cot up to a king size bed I think it is.
