It's our last appointment next week and I need some inspiration for a midwife present. She has been awesome, but I don't feel like I know her that well so need something that anyone would like... any suggestions?

I bought my mw a sgl cup coffee plunger, a lovely mug and some coffee (I think it was robert harris, anyway the flavor was "start me up" - my friend and I both had her as a mw and had our babies on the same day so it was appropriate) and she really loved it

ETA: I think part of it was that she seemed surprised and chuffed just to get a present, so it is probably more "the thought that counts"

We gave our MW a basket with a bottle of DHs wine, some condiments, sweets and a sling for her baby scales made by the lady from Designer Bums.. they are very cool!
She was very chuffed to get a present and a little embarrassed. I think anything that you get your MW, they will be happy with.

They are all such appropriate pressies... coffee, wine, chocolate, pens, baby scales, massage... so thoughtful.

I got my MW some after-gardening hand lotion (she always talked about her gardening, lol, plus they would have to wash their hands a lot which is quite drying) and also some foot lotion for sore/tired feet (since she spends long amounts of time standing at the hospital!) She was really chuffed with getting a pressie.

I think just about anything would be a nice surprise and make her feel appreciated... the ideas in this thread are very thoughtful and appropriate though
