Mr 4-months has a sore throat which looked bacterial and has been given antibiotics... he had his first one on Sunday evening. Just wondering, when should I be noticing an improvement. He's still miserable and not feeding properly and we're heading away tomorrow....

You should see a big improvement within 24-48 hours. I'd go back to the doctor today and get a different antibiotic to try.
