Hey guys,
Anyone done this? We are after any tips!
Thinking of getting a trunki for DS for airports etc, but dont know whether its worth taking a stroller? or expecting him to walk..
And whether to take fave books/toys, or new ones!
So any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I brought a Trunki but have since sold it as I found it a PITA. It was easier for us to biff all the bags on a trolley and chuck the small child on top.

I have not done Europe with a 3 year old but have been there a few times. I would def take a travel stroller (one that folds up small) as there can be alot of waiting around for undergrounds and lines etc. I know my 3 years old would sit in the buggy to wait rather than running or whinging.

Toys I would take new cheap ones that you would be fine if they were lost or left behind as well as 1 special cuddly/toy that is a comfort to them.

Enjoy. I am very jealous and still trying to convince DH that it would be a good idea to head back there with our 2 for a wee holiday.

We did it with a 14 months old and he lived in our stroller. It was a pain on the cobbles though. LOL.
Does your 3 yr old normally walk around shops or does he go in the stroller.
Otherwise a baby carrier, we had a big metal thing, I wish I had my beco when we went over BUt it was really good when we went, for bigger walks.

I would def take a stroller. Better to have one at hand than have a tired 3 year old refusing to walk any further! Or wait til you get there and pick up a cheap one if you think he will manage with the airports without one.

I would put together a little travel pack for him with new little bits and pieces to interest him. Most airlines provide kids packs long haul which will also keep him busy. If he is good with colours etc then he can be playing "I spy something the colour blue" etc as you wander around or kill time waiting etc.

My 2 are younger so not sure really of any other ideas.

Its not really big enough to pack much it but too big and annoying for a carryon. It was really just another bag to cart around. I found a small back pack for DS was much better as he could have it on the floor or on the seat and play with it as the trunki was too big. Its not that easy to pull and not that comfy. If I was going to lug something else around I would make it a quicksmart stroller or something similar. Meaning then you have one carry on with stuff you need every now and then during the flight, one small backopack with toys/books that 3year old can carry and a stroller.
