my girl just turned 8mtns she still refuses solds...yet she will eat a rusk happily.....im due to go to plunket again in a few weeks but want to know when your baby started and what you started them on? 4mnth or finger food......ty was a bad eater but started at 4mnths and only eats little but still eats.......i cant even get 1 spoon ful into her......tried everything there is on the market..........im not worried about it yet as i didnt start until i was 9mnths but she is BF and i know she isnt getting as much nutrients now as wheat she should and she has been one sick little girl.......

I tried to start him at 6-7mths and he really wasn't interested, so I gave up and tried again at 10mths, lots of finger foods and the odd jar of fruit and/or veges.. He's a great eater now.

You are doing fine, if you are happy to wait a couple of months, it's not going to do any harm to her..

sounds like finger food may be the way to go instead of purees. check out some of the BLW baby led weaning threads we have.

We started at 6m but my friend's wee girl wasn't interested till closer to 8m and HER mum was saying that she (my friend) didn't start till 9m.

If your DD is interested in finger foods then I'd just keep offering those and have a good read of the BLW info that's around as Bizzy suggested
