sooo if your 6 month old baby woke up at 6.30pm from a 2 and half hour afternoon sleep.. would you just keep to the routine.. or push things back a bit ?? hes usually up around 2 hours between sleeps

he usually has dinner around 6pm , bath 6.30..bed 7.30

that means he would of only been awake for an hour

???? suggestions ???? many thanks ladies

I'd push it back up to half an hour, Daniel has always gone to bed between 7-7:30 no matter what hes been up to during the day

How is he after his nap? I would probably try keep to dinner, bath bed but if he's really playful/happy after dinner I'd perhaps let him play a bit longer than usual then do the bath then read a couple more stories before bed time IYGWIM. So don't stress if he's not in bed by 7.30 but I'd still try get him to bed by about 8 and see you how you go..

My DS is older than yours but he sometimes falls asleep on the way home in the late afternoon (yesterday he napped from 6 - 7 in the car ) but I usually find that he is still tired at "bedtime" anyway. Last night he was still in bed by 7.30 and slept all night

OMG SJ......congrats !!

Lea, Chances are he'll go back down not long after his normal time. Plus it's one off, it won't be habit forming.
