SIL is getting married next weekend and I finally have an outfit for DS but think it would look super cute with a waistcoat but haven't been able to find one in a Size 2. Farmers formal stuff starts in a Size 3, which meant I had to get Size 3 pants and get thenmhemmed but can't do that with a waistcoat. Any ideas? Maybe I could sew one? I'm an absolute beginner, how hard would it be?

I have made thisvest before and it was pretty easy. Perhaps google 'free pattern for toddler waistcoat' and have a look to see if there's a pattern with instructions that don't look too difficult :)

I think that T&T has some formal clothes, maybe they have a waistcoat in a smaller size

I have a full grey suit in a size 2 if you want to borrow it. It has tie, waistcoat, pants, shirt and jacket. I'm in hams to so it won't be difficult or you can just borrow the waistcoat.

Sorry! I completely forgot I started this! Thank you so much for the offer kiwi2 and all the other ideas ladies. In the end I made one, quite proud of my efforts given I haven't sewn anything since Form 2 manual class!
