HI, well I went for a well overdue smear the other day and the nurse told me I have a bulky uterus. Has/does anyone else have this and what does it mean, and did you get anything done to "fix" it.

She also told me that I should have way more bladder control than I do at my age and may need some type of surgery to fix it, anyone had this as well?

How could she tell you should have more control that what you have from a smear? The test is a lot more involved than when you have a smear.

I had an almost prolapsed bladder and had it fixed in 2009, what I had done to it was something you have done once you are sure you aren't going to have any more children.

Would be interesting to hear how she worked out all those things from a smear.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

If exercises don't work get some smart balls. Pelvic floor exercises didn't do anything for me but I got smart balls and they have done miracles for my pelvic floor strength

kebakat - I might give them a try.

mummy_becks & AandCsmum - she worked out that I should have more bladder control because I have to squeeze my legs together when I sneeze or I will leak even if I have just been to the loo.

BriAndOlisMum - thats pretty much what I was like and the way I've measured my improvement is that at my bootcamp class I could only do 1 star jump before leaking. Now I can do a full minute of them without leaking. That's a massive difference. And I just did a hard workout with a trainer and he had me jumping over a log again and again and I didn't leak. Never would have been able to do that before getting smart balls. It's still improving too

If you google smart balls I found some for about $15 a week ago, I was lucky that the exercises worked for me.

Yeah I usually have to think hold muscles when I sneeze lol the delight of having babies lol

That isn't a diagosis IMO sorry, that just means you need to work on your pelvic floors and either by exercises or the smart balls, they do wonders.

To see if you have bladder damage you need to see a gyne and have some very uncomfortable tests done, and they are very uncomfortable.
