We never even thought to wait- have had sex right through each pregnancy with no problems. I know some women are advised by their Dr not to have sex but thats usually if they are having bleeding in pregnancy.

Have you got a history of miscarriage? Maybe ask your midwife? With Mr C I'm sure we did it often cause we knew it would drop off later.

Same here...had sex all the way through the pregnancy without any problems. Although was much more difficult (and very unsexy) towards the end!

Geez....... I feel real bad for my DF lol...... we had sex maybe 6 times while I was pregnant. I just lost all interest. And then it was 6 months after I had DD before we had sex again! haha. My mojo just went awol. We are going to start TTC Jan next year but DF is dreading the no sex again hehehehe.
Anyway, that was a little bit off from the original question - but I think you should be fine, some people like to wait till second trimester 'just incase' but pretty sure it is OK

I don't think there's any research that says that sex can cause a miscarriage, unless there has been prior bleeding.

You can not stop a m/c if its going to happen it will.
If you are not having bleeding then there is no reason to not carry on with everything as usual.
I had bleeding with all 4 of my pregnancies so at these times we did not have sex...last thing on my mind then anyway.
We had a normal sex life life through out all pregnancies, personally I don't get the no sex while pg...even if you have to fake it, lol....after delivery well that's a different story

you should be right! we waited til after the date we had had a previous miscarriage. even though we had had M/Cs before we weren't advised not to have sex
as long as you are healthy, had no warning signs that things are wrong, you should be right
DH in theory wanted to wait til 12 weeks b/c of the m/c thing but he, ah forgot all about that once we got started lol.
but hey, there's nothing wrong with wanting to wait and plenty of other options to keep DH happy (I'm sure you know what I mean!)

So didn't feel like it this first trimester, too tired and nauseous, but read like others that if not bleeding and have no other issues, no prob. My query is, since someone else has started up this topic (I was too chicken) , has anyone else got a heightened libido because of pregnancy? Have had this with both pregnancies now, weird, but not unpleasant especially for DH, who doesn't know what's struck him. lol.

Lol, I was just going to post that Im the complete opposite from NZlisajo. Havent got the greatest interest in sex really, but wow when Im pregnant my libido increases hugely! Happened both pregnancies- I think for me it has to do with me feeling more comfortable with my body shape when pregnant!

i had two boys and I was the same as lisajo..jazzy you dont get it?:) I just think some people really feel like it and some dont.. we didn't much during either one due to me worrying about mc...i know there's not much chance but i wasn't risking it(esp after 2)

Hehe must be the title of the thread huh!
I confronted DH about our sex life the other night. Ever since he can see my belly growing and is feeling kicks etc he's not been interested in anything (other than Mrs Palmer from what he tells me ) because it feels wrong, he knows its his baby etc, and I'm still me but he doesn't see the 'sexy wife' but a 'cuddly mum' that he wants to snuggle and be cute with...
Managed to get almost guilty sex out of him, and to be honest I now feel the same! (without the mrs palmer of course!) I guess because we'd not tried I thought I still wanted it.. but not now.
And I'm having a boy Kelly - but not super randy, If only we were having 2 kids then I could poss see if I'd be randy with a girl on board
