I do it all...always have even when I was working & then when I worked part time after DS1 was born. If you are organised then its not of a biggy IMO & I don't get DH to do any when he get home form work after all I am a SAHM & thats just part of the my job I reckon. In the weekends everyone helps out so things are tidy & clean before we go out. DH cleans the bath as I hate that job & he has baths all the time. I cook mostly but DH is a more adventurous cook & really good at it so he often cooks in the weekend.

I was reading on an American site about how they divide there time when it comes to housework so now I break each job up into 10mins. The jobs are...make beds, pick up stuff off b'room floors, wipe out basins, clean toilets (x2), dust, wipe kitchen, stack/unload dishwasher, washing, tidy up, vacuum upstairs (daily), mop floors & so on. I get most done a lot quicker & since I do it daily it is easy & no fuss. I plan out bigger jobs like wash windows, clean cupboards & did a lot of these in the school holidays.

The reason I do my 10min system is to make sure I have time for me to do what I want to do & not feel overwhelmed or that ground hog feeling of housework day in day out & it works well for me. I also do most of it while the kids are eating b'fast before school, so beds made, tidy up, dishes & washing done/on in between 7-8am so when I get home only need to vacuum & dust & a few little things.

I pretty much do it all day to day but DF helps out heaps more on the weekends. He works a very physical job and I prefer he saves his energy for playing with the kids. Sometimes (usually TTOM) I can't be bothered doing anything so DF will pick up the slack...
I am pretty happy with our arrangement with housework duties :-)
