Hi everyone, I am new to Ohbaby site and just wanted to share this...
My little girl was born with lots of hair and from about 8 weeks (she is 12 weeks now) started getting a really big bald patch on the back of her head. Like a full on shiny no hair patch, poor little poppet. She sleeps on her back and enjoys spending alot of time playing with her hanging toys on her activity mat, so lots of rubbing on the back of her head!
I remembered the advice I had been given about keeping my own long hair split ends and tangle free, sleep on a satin pillow case!
I decided to experiment and see if putting a satin pillow case under Juliet's head might help. Actually I didn't have a pillow case so have been using an old satin nighty instead (she likes this also because it smells like Mum!)
And what do you know, 1 week later her hair is already growing back, she has cute little baby stubble now all over the patch, adorable

Not that a bald patch matters but sometimes it can look a bit red from rubbing and this is SUCH an easy solution!

Nice one. But my DD has the opposite problem. Bald on top and long around the edges, like an old man. I'll have to do a comb over soon!

We did that, then the rest of her hair fell out anyway, except for patches in the front and one side! We had to trim it, she looked TOTALLY ridiculous.

WHat a good idea! Both of mine got big bald patches on the backs of their head too! I should probably get my daughter a sateen pillow case now (she is 2.5 now) as she gets the boofiest hair and so mant tangles from tossing and turning at night.
