Kinda similiar to another thread but didn't want to jack it.

At 7.5 months our DD won't go near her cot. She used to be wonderful at self settling, but no more.

As soon as I out her in there she cries and is inconsolable. I have been rocking her to sleep on me, but she then wakes hourly when stirs and I have to start again. After midnight she will stay asleep for a couple of hours, maybe. Last night I gave up and put her in bed with me, which was slightly better.

Am not sure if this is a developmental thing or an attachment issue. We tried CC a few weeks ago, which did work as she simply cried for 3 hours, until I couldn't deal with it any longer. Am wondering if this is the cause.

I am exhausted as no downtime and little sleep. I'm afraid that I'll never get her out of my bed if i let her sleep there and never get my DH back in.

Has anyone got through anything like this? How do I get through? Will I create a habit if I let her sleep with me?

*sigh..... im going through the same issues.. but its mostly at the night time sleep.. he screams...and crys and screams some more.

Its heartbreaking..

its been over two weeks and its damn exausting.. hes also waking at midnight... 1am...3am...4.30....5.30am...

I think leaving DS 7mths.. to cry and offer a cuddle every 10-15 min is helping..

I have avoided bringing him into our bed as i know this will create more trouble in the long run..

I think it is all teething related for him ... i will be watching for some help/answers....

Good Luck Mama ((((hugs))))

My baby is 9 months old. Recently she went through a very fussy stage, very clingy awake and then in particularly at bed time. I was told by a few that it was a clingy stage which goes hand in hand with developmental changes of the baby. So therefore, attachment and developmental phases happening.

Perhaps she is teething? Mine was teething around that time and low and behold not long after her came 2 large incisors.

So with this in mind, i upped the cuddles and reassurance from me especially around the bed time. And to be honest, it took sometimes at least 3 times to resettle her until she went to sleep. I totally understand the wakeful nights. I would leave her to fall asleep on me and pop her back in her cot.

I am a first time mum, and forsee that there are more unsettled periods to come, so i decided how i manage it is getting support from partner and close family and friends during these times, so i can provide her with that extra comforting, because, its hard core draining.
