I have a very unhappy girl and am hoping someone has some advice for us. Kaelins got blood blisters where 2 of her molars are coming through and also a mouth full of ulcers. She cant suck her thumb as it obviously hurts too much and as a result isnt sleeping (is sleeping in 20 min blocks then up crying for ages). Dr has said to keep using pamol as theres nothing else to help her but she is so exhausted and sore too. Does anyone have any other ideas of things we could try to soothe her? We've tried giving her iceblocks and using bonjela on the ulcers. Thanks guys

amber teething necklace may help ?
pamol 4 hourly

sounds like you are doing everything you can...

just offer lots of cuddles and do whatever you need to...to keep her settled and happy, i wouldnt worry too much about routines etc.. just go with the flow.

I found letting DS demand b/feed helped as he liked the comfort as well.

hang in there mama and baby

Maybe baby neurophen? It is an anitinflammatory as well as pain killer so might help the pain of the swollen gums.

I second baby nurofen and I have been told and have used rescue remedy sleep for my 15 month old DD as she has been unwell and is cutting teeth as well, the pharmacist said just 2 drops on the tongue at night and I must say it seems to have helped. Also very cold water in a sippy cup with a straw seems to help my DD as she can hold the straw where its sore and its cooling, plus easy to offer during the night.

Thanks guys, i tried using pamol and nurofen last night but don't think it helped (she was up from 2 - 5.20am crying) will keep using them both though and will look for the rescue remedy sleep. Thanks again x
