I Actually LOVE pink but thats because im very much into girlie girl things but i find it hard  having a child with BRIGHT RED hair as im limited to what shades of pink she wears as dark pink just screams at her hair ( quite ironic i would say this as my avatar is a pic of her dressed in dark pink lol , this was a gift that altho is Beautiful i probably would not have bought myself because the colour is a bit bright for her ) , she also does not suit red AT ALL . i definatly try and buy lots of blues, greens , Yellows etc . She wears lots of clothes that arent pink but are still girlie .

www.charlieandmekids.co.nz has some cute stuff , aswell as Jk kids and farmers quite often has light greys , blues, red etc etc

My DD suits pink and she does have a lot. I go out of my way to ensure that she has a few outfits that aren't pink/purple and often make dresses for her that are other colours. She really suits blue too but I find it hard to get outfits that suit her that don't cost too much so find it easier to make them myself.

I dont really have a problem with pink but DD has a heap of clothes in varying colours - greens, yellows, blue, white, purple, pink, red, black...pretty much every colour.
Backfired here as MIL bought her some (2nd hand) pink clothes so that I could "dress DD like a girl for once". Apparently a blue dress is not girly enough
As for where to buy non pink clothes, most of our stuff is farmers, baby factory, the warehouse and PP.

Lol rorylex and jazzy you can always dress your boys in pink you just have to remember to call it salmon

I always said my next child would have to be a girl or a boy comfortable with cross dressing. Lucky it's a girl huh

Before having Isla, I swore that I would never dress her in overly pink, girly clothes....... and definitely no headbands etc...... oh how things have changed! I love her in pink clothes, it's probably the best colour on her, and she has a headband for every outfit lol She does have some greens and yellows etc, oh and red... but we are in the same boat as Lil Nic - we get people commenting on our lovely boy So I like to make her look as girly as possible!

When DD was a baby she didn't have alot of pink. That was partially because many of her clothes were hand me downs from my little brother who is 8 months older than she. And partially because I dislike pink.

As shes grown that has changed. She has had some say in what she likes when shopping for clothes since she was about 2. And guess what colour the majority was and still is? PINK. Shes still very much a pink girl even now at 12.

nzlisajo it's funny you should say that about the headbands I've always disliked them but DS was bald until he was nearly two and now that I'm faced with having another little baldy they don't seem like such a bad idea!

Thank god her grade of ballet is now baby blue

Ha ha ha...the reason I hate pink...the reason I will never dress my girls in pink, and the reason the nieces will not receive ANYTHING pink from their Auntie!

So the girls (if I have any) will be wearing red and green and maybe even blue!
