DP is home on Monday morning after 14 weeks away so on Tuesday we are planning a belated fathers day. We were going to go to the Zoo (and still might depending on weather) but we will need somewhere else if it rains like predicted. Is there anywhere in Auckland that we can take DD for the day & isn't too expensive? Kelly Taltons is an idea but its so pricey & we go to butterfly creek often so would like something different.
Thanks!

museum and go to Aqua its a water conservation exhibit that is on until end of October it's really interesting and the screens are interactive at times. Try and go when theres no one there because the least amount of people there the more you get to interact and see. Just be ware at times its quite dark and scary

DH just took our 2 to the museum today, it's always a big hit with the kids (and free if Auck resident).

Waiwera is always good for a treat too. The movie pool has a shallow bit that is great for wallowing around in and is undercover.

The Wave pool in Mt Roskill (or is it Mt Albert?) is really good for toddlers, loads of fun and cheaper during the week.
Two little girls under 2!

Go down to the viaduct, and catch the ferry over to devonport, it doesnt matter about the weather!! There are the usual, chipmunks, lollypops etc. A great child freindly cafe is the Library in Princes St in Onehunga!! MOTAT has lots of indoor stuff to do!!! The best thing to do is to look up the Auckland Council website and they will tell you what is going on and lots of it is free!!
