When do you wean from a bottle to a sipper cup to have milk feeds?

My DS is 10 months old and has 3 bottles a day. He drinks water from a sipper cup with his meals with no hassle.

I have nooooo idea when I should start offering his milk feed from a sipper cup too!

Any suggestions would be fab

I think as soon as you want! I remember I read somewhere (don't remember now, but it was a reputable source) that you can leave out bottles all together if you're having success with cups.

I haven't got there yet, but Chloe won't take a bottle at all so am going to try out the sippy cup (she can drink water from it) when I need to leave her with someone.

Miss E is 13 months old and is still having 3 bottles a day - she can drink from sippy cups very good but I still offer her the bottle. Infact all 4 of my kids have never had their 'milk' feeds from a sippy cup its always been a bottle till they give up the feeds altogether. (which has varied from 11 months to 18 months)

ETA: go with what you feel is right - what works for one doesn't always work for another - if hes happy with his bottle why change it? But then again if he's just as happy with a sippycup go for it :-)

Milk is still the most important food for a child under 1 yr. You might find he drinks a lot less if u swap to a sippy cup just yet. You could leave it til hes over a year, and then swap his mid day bottle to a sippy cup if u wanted to, and then all of them if he takes enough milk from the cup.
I got rid of DD's bottle cold turkey at 15 months cos she was waking up to 6 times a night needing me to give her her bottle - it only had cold water in it, had already stopped giving her formula in it at night. She then would not take any milk at all from any sort of cup at all for nearly 2 months- it was very stressful. as she wasnt getting any calium from any other source cos she was allergic to dairy and intollerent to saoy at the point

its totally a personal choice! but as Kellz said milk is important at bub's age so don't swap it out if they may reject milk from a sippy cup! Esp if they are fussy eaters as well.
my wee charge was having a bottle morning and night until just before two - her mum changed to a cup with straw because it wasn't a necc for her to have the milk and she never drank it again!! he he. little toad was going for the comfort rather than the 'food' source!!
