When we were prescribed it the pharmacist did mention that if you dont give enough it can make kids super hyper (sorry i should have mentioned that in my first post). Theres rescue remedy sleep or homeopathic things that might help? Good luck

I dont think I would bother either. I took DS to Australia a few weeks ago and was really worried about how he would fly and he was no problem at all. Sat in his seat, watched a bit of TV and then slept the rest of the way.

Maybe see how he goes on the way over, and then you have it is a back up if he didnt cope well for the return flight.

We used it when DS was 23 months and we flew to LA (12 hour flight). He was a box of birds when he woke up so it didn't have a delayed affect.

Definately try it before you fly, some kids get quite hyperactive on it. Luckily DS isn't one of them.

I wouldnt use it. Yes some kids get hypo. some kids get really sleepy. Most kids find plane travel exhausting and will sleep.
My youngest has had it for a realy bad cold - with no effect either way. My eldest will sleep on it but wakes tired, grumpy and very tearful

I would be inclined to use something natural - if they are anxious or over excited like rescue remedy or camomile.

I definately into medicine for the right reasons but phenergan is pretty unpredictable when its combined will flights and timezones, and excitement and tiredness
Could be more trouble than its worth
