breastfeeding and teeth

I lost a small chunk of skin from DS when his bottom teeth were newly emerged. Luckily it was only a once-off. Now he only catches me if its late at night and he forgets to let go when finished and turns his head...

With McKayla she was really good. She tried to bite me once or twice. I just took her off and said sternly no and she got it real quick.

Same technique with Andrew but boy oh boy total different result. He looks at me and smiles and then giggles. Seriously. He think it is the funiest thing in the world. however Grant reminded me on the advice we tried once on McKayla as well. instead of pulling them off (and you hurting yourself with your finger in their mouth trying to break suction or ripping them off your boob with boob still firmly attached with teeth) pull bubs closer in so you are essentially smothering them with the boob for a second. They quickly let go as they realise real quick they cant breath and they will hopefully stop.

Havent dont it with him yet. My first reaction is to try and get him off as quickly.

Jude does that also TaliP. He's not biting but his top teeth seem to get in the way and my boob gets sucked right onto them - I end up with two tooth indentations in my boob by the end of the feed. Have tried relatching etc but doesn't work and from what I can tell he actually has a good normal latch going on (perhaps its the boobs that are the problem ).

No help sorry - lol on Dr Google telling you to get his teeth filed Imagine that!

Luckily not super sore so will keep feeding - perhaps when more teeth come through he will adjust again.

We've just started getting the pinching with hands along with slapping, punching, scratching lol, not looking forward to teeth as I can see her top and bottom 2 just waiting for them to come up!

She broke my neck lace a week or so ago! And she does stroke me but sometimes does the other things too!

Yeah I bet it did hurt lol. I sure dont blame her for weaning me after that lol.

That's exactly like me DD (just over 15 mths)!!! She's not biting, just as she has teeth and is stronger sucking now, she punctures, sort of....

She is good though, and when I say owwwwwwww will stop and let me reposition her.

She likes to get her little hand up under the a frame of the bra cup, or pushes my head to the side and touches my ears - so funny!!

I've had the exact same thing. Sharp little tooth hits a particular spot and has made a little sore. Have you tried holding a different way or feeding lying down? I've found that helps as the teeth hit different spots.
