I love pasta with pesto - I need to remember to always have pesto on hand!

Mrs Emma I was doing my bases in the breadmaker but I seem to end up with a very bready base. Do you manage to get a thinner one or do you not mind the thickness too much?

Mmmm, pesto! I love pesto but DH hates it so we almost never have. Same with mushrooms.

Mine doesn't come out very bready, I just use the recipe that came with the bread maker and it's worked great every time. It's quite a thin base and doesn't puff up a lot which is why we like it so much, I can't stand chewy, doughy pizza. I'm sure the recipe would work in another bread maker wouldn't it? I can PM you the recipe if you'd like?

Or roasted capsicum, zucchini, aubergine & garlic

Mushrooms & basil pesto

With pizzas I usually do chicken, onion, cream cheese and capsicum with sweet chilli on top, or ham or salami, onion, capsicum etc tuna pizzas can also be nice, can add avocado to most flavours etc

I just buy pizza bases (3 pack is good value) or I use pita breads to make smaller ones

Tonight dinner was quesadillas- 2 tortillas with grated cheese in between, done in frying pan till melted, then cut into quarters and serve with sour cream and salsa. Easy.

Last night was bologneise, night before stirfry, home made pizza, meatballs and pasta with veges, etc.. sometimes make tacos and nachos or chicken salad

For pizza our usuals are:

chicken, feta, spinach, pine nuts & sweet chilli sauce
or ham, pineapple, cheese, capsicum, onion, tomato or
or bacon, ham, pepperoni, cheese kind of thing

A lot of the time it's leftover bits and pieces that go on it.

Tonight was steak, eggs & mashed potato- another of DH & DS's favourites. It was DD's first time having steak and she sucked her pieces dry

Yes please to the recipe Mrs Emma! I like the sound of yours and even better that I can do it in the breadmaker.

Tonight is moroccan chicken (overcooked because DH was doing some diy and I forgot about it!) and green salad.

And keep going with the pizza topping ideas. I am so boring with mine - partly because the kids prefer the boring version and partly out of lack of inspiration.

-Whizz rice bubbles and a very small wedge of Parmesan together (no idea of measurements, I fill my magic bullet container with rice bubbles for 2 chopped chicken breasts )

- Coat the chicken pieces in cornflour.
- Then coat with mayo
- Put the coating mixture in a plastic bag add the chicken to mix.
- Put in the oven at 230degrees for ~10 minutes. the objective is to cook hot and fast before they dry out.

Thanks Tishy, the family loved these and I'll definitely make them again!
