Topic: Recommend your Vodafone Cellphone Posted: 10 November 2010 at 11:01am |
I HATE my cr@ppy Sony Ericsson W205 and would like to get a new phone (could be secondhand). It's so hard to text on it, it drives me insane. I can't download ringtones etc. Other than that, it's fine - makes/takes calls.
Can you recommend yours to me?
DH has a Motorola RAZR (or something like that) which is quite easy to use....

I had a RAZRV9 which I just sold because I bought an iphone4 (which I love) but the RAZR was great, I really liked it and had never had any problems with it.

I've got a nokia 5230 (I think thats the model number) touch screen. I love it! Really easy to use but then I've always been a nokia fan....
We got my phone from http://www.parallelimported.co.nz/ (sorry don't know how to do the link) and it was a lot cheaper than what it was in the shops.

I have a nokia. I love nokia's pretty much once you know how to use one you know how to use them all. And they seem to be so robust.
I'm cautious of sliders and touchscreens. I know a few that the lcd screen is cracked on but thats just my opinion.

mines not vodafone but its a telecom touc screen (okta touch) and i can thoroughtly say DO NOT buy a touch screen.
the screen often goes out of alignment so you cant touch the unlock button.
the screen often doent know its being touched, if its been in your pocket for a while.
and you have to have a screen protector on it and replace it every few months otherwise it gets real bad at knowing its been touched.
DP has a blackberry and loves it, it does everything hew needs it to (and its free - its a work phone )
its so handy having google maps when your out on a drive and get lost, no need for a Navman

DH has one of these phones and it sucks. Worst phone EVER!!
Nokia are good phones, never had a problem with them. They always last for ages and are easy to use.

I have to agree re Okta's, I hated them all and switched out to a Blackberry after trialing a few. You never know until you try though, a few people I know LOVED the Touch!

I have the Nokia N97 Touchscreen ph, had it for nearly a year and I LOVE IT!
Still looks brand new, is super dooper easy to use and txt, no issues with the touch screen at all.
Pricey but well worth it. I agree with the majority that say go with Nokia, every Nokia ive ever had has been awesome.
Would love an iPhone4 tho... hehe

Great thread....... I need to get new phone cause lost mine in the ball pit at Chipmunks the other day lol. Searched for ages but couldn't find it.
I have tonnes of phones over the years, and I have to agree, Nokia is the way to go. I had a Samsung slider one crap out on me and both my brother and sister had Samsung sliders too that crapped out. I have never had a problem with Nokia. Although in saying that, DF has the Nokia Express Music one (touch screen) and it does weird stuff all the time. Like he will be typing a message out and all of a sudden it will start deleted the message (as if he was hitting the backspace button iykwim). His screen has been scratched to pieces my our DD lol she likes playing with it. He wants an iphone 4 but I just think it's such a huge waste of money.
I just want a good phone to txt/call on and take nice pics for when I dont have camera with me.
