Hi,

Thought I would post a question cause I have no idea.
I went to the midwife today and the babys pulse is high, mine is normal and so is my bloodpreassure. They did not have access to a ctg machine and tried all the different places for one. UNfortunately no luck and all obstetrician where too busy, now I have to go back tomorrow morning.

They told me not to stress and take is easy til the mornign and now all I can do is stress.
Anyone else have the same issue? What happened?
Any advice woudl be great

Do you mean babys heartrate was high?

Im not sure as I havent had this happen to me, but I imagine if they were really worried they would have admitted you to hospital for monitering, as all hospitals where they deliver babys will have a ctg available, they ahve to.

So, Id just do what they said and tey to relax and not stress too much, I know that must be so ahrd to do when you are worried **hugs**

Yeah Elias had a really high heart rate when I was got a tummy bug, it was basically because I was dehydrated (my heart rate was fine).

They put me on a drip to up my fluids .. after that I just made sure I drank loads and loads of water!

They wanted to have the ctg done straight away but there where none available (I have a hospital midwife so was already there and she called around the hospital to try to find a machine)

Well, I've had a lot to drink, been really trhirsty and I feel fine.

My son has a cold but there si nothign wrong with me as far as I know. I dont have a fever and I'm not even feelign slightly off colour.

I hope a nights rest will lower the pulse and that they will tell me that it was a false alarm

All is good, went to the midwifes today and they checked on bubba and he is nice and happy now. Told him he is never allowed to scare me like that again :)

Glad everything was ok with bubz SofiaJ, just thought I'd point out my little story do do with this.

2 days before due date went to see midwife, using doppler to hear babies heart rate, she said I think we will put you on CTG, once hooked up bubz heart rate was going from low at 50 all the way up to 200 in a matter of 10 sec. Long story short, all midwives freaked out and told me I had to get to hospital right away. Got there more CTG and a scan to check fluid etc. and all fine just an extremely hyper baby (and how true that is even now).
