Topic: Showing early second time around! Posted: 03 June 2009 at 9:47am |
Hi everyone
Im just 6 weeks pregnant with my second child and my body is changing very quickly, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
With my daughter I didnt really show at all until around 3months and even then it was just a slight bump. This time I have a definate bump , my breasts are huge (which didnt happen until the very end last time) and ive also put weight on around my back!
Im quite slim naturally so its definately very noticeable on me, which makes it hard to hide at such an early stage...anyone else had anything similar?

This is number one for me and I have already got a bit of a tum, even one of my workmates (who knows) has commented on it. I am wearing maternity pants already as my other clothes are getting a bit tight. I am normally a size 6 - 8, Mum said the same happened to her and she was a size 6 pre-pregnancy.

Oh yes, I fitted my regular jeans comfortably until around 18 weeks last pregnancy, this time around I was out of them by 8 weeks!
It's completely normal though.

Yep, I was huge by 8 weeks about the same size at 4 months last time! Now, at 17 weeks, I look about 24 weeks. Scary but apparently normal.

I am exactly the same. I took belly pics with Liam & I swear my belly now is about the same size with him at 30 weeks . I was still wearing normal pants at this stage too, but no way this time round.
MY MW assures me it is normal for subsequent babies. It just "scares" me a little as to how big I am actually going to get. Liam was only 5lb & I don't really want a 10lb'er this time (ouch ).

I didn't show til 4.5mnths first time pregnant and this second time round pftt I was just 6 weeks and had a little pooch sticking out already! I did not feel comfortable wearing normal jeans/pants past 7 weeks and have been in my new maternity jeans and pants since then.

Yep, I showed straight away this time. I showed early first time too (people guessed from 7.5wks!) and was in maternity pants by about 10-12 weeks, but this time my belly just got very huge very fast. I actually posted about it too, cos I was so concerned. At 30wks I was the same diameter as I was full term first time!! Thankfully, it has slowed right down now - I am bigger, but its a bigger bub. And no where near as huge as I thought I'd end up!

so glad I found this thread, as I have just hit 5 weeks and am already starting to show a bit and wear maternity pants. last time I wasn't in maternity pants until around 20 weeks, so a bit shocked to be in them so early this time.

Me too I look about 5 months pregnant already. I'm keep tellnig myself its bloatinga dn retained water, but I feel like I've got 3 in there or something. I never got rid Of my ryan leftovers, But its deffinately bigger than that. I only have 1 pair of pants that fit me at the moment, and 1 pair of materninty jeans. I've let a friend borrow my button extender things, who is 34 weeks and she's only just using them I feel a bit stink asking for them back already.
