lol.. I moved fro auckland to chch 4 years ago. Didnt have a say, was preg and didnt know one bugger down here. I LOVE IT. I have 2 kids now, excellent hubby, sister moved here too and mum. No friends but like I have time for that. I got over being bored and lonely and just got out there and did stuff.
Whatever you do, dont sit in your house and be all woe is me about it, just get out there, go for walks, go to the library, find out what coffee groups they have from oh baby in hamilton and go to those.. And in the end, look at it this way: No more earthquakes!
