yep! I was a bit worried after he told my friend that he didn't want to get married, but I know that if he didn't want to, he wouldn't have said yes :)

naw you guys are all so lovely haha :) I'm taking him shopping for my ring next week, yay! Even though that's not what really matters it's still so exciting and makes it more 'real'. Wont be getting married for three or four years since he's going back to study next week and we'll be poor, but that's ok, at least I know it'll happen!

Bit late here (been on a 'OB hiatus' but congrats! I proposed to mine this year, only I got a little impatient and asked him a week ahead... I made a photo montage with a poem and at the end asked him to marry me. He'd bought me a ring for Valentines day (I told him after 6.5 years together it was high time he bought me jewellery lol!) and since its the first ring hes ever bought me, I chose to use that as the engagement ring.
Was kinda funny afterwards cos he'd just finished saying at a friends house (I'm going to be her bridesmaid next year and we all met for lunch/wedding ideas chat) that he was glad he was never getting married... which had me wondering if maybe I was biting off more than I could chew after all... but within a minute of putting the ring on my finger, he'd changed his relationship status on facebook AND was ringing his brother to tell him the news, then text everyone in his address book, and telling people he catches up with that arent on his facebook that we're engaged now... not bad for someone who never wanted to get married again  To be fair, for the last 7 years since I seperated from my ex hubby, I've said the same thing
