My daughter has just turned 7 months and has gone back to cluster feeding & waking a lot during the night, has anyone else experienced this? This has been going on for a good two weeks now.

We thought we were finally getting her to sleep through the night then she sprung this on us. L goes to bed at 7pm and has been waking hourly until 10 or 11pm and then goes on to wake again between 1am-2am and then between 4am-5am. She is doing so well on her solids and we are up to 3 meals a day around 1/2 - 1 cup of food at each meal, I was hoping her sleeping would improve.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

DS has just started waking heaps more and feeding more in later afternoon so will be watching with interest. Was up over 6 times last night, although he is teething atm this started early last week with 2-3 wake ups a night.

Lily did it too, but for her it was just separation anxiety and the comfort from knowing I was there...

both my boys did this it was just a phase and passed Thank goodness!
I gave lots of cuddles and i found leaving a item of my clothing in the cot like a top that smells like me was a great comfort.
DS2 still likes to snuggle into my or my husbands t shirt. I suppose it's just reassurace that we are still around even though not in the room.
It's prob a bit of separation aniexty or could be teething? hope it stops soon!

Their sleep cycle change and they become more wakeful as they get more aware what they are up to. We had this, took a bit of work but eventually sorted it.

Thanks everyone, I glad we are not alone in this. I think it is def a bit of separation anxiety, we had a terrible night last night I was up about 4 times and L took a good 1.5 to get back to sleep at 4am this morning .... a shame I hadn't looked at your replies at that stage. I am going to give the clothing a go tonight thanks LJsmum.

DH tries to comfort her but she gets so worked up until I grab her then she seems to calm down until you try and put her in the cot. I gave her a bit of water in case she was thirsty but her cries are not hungry ones I think she is just after comfort.

Hopefully we have a better night tonight.
