Topic: df textn.. help??? Posted: 23 March 2012 at 7:33am |
So we moved cities 6weeks ago. Df lived with his bro n sil for those weeks till he found us a house. We moved in on the weekend just gone. N today while at his bros 4 t u saw he was texting a chick so I asked him when we got him n he said she's the daughter of the lady who brings them coffee n we were invited to the ladies 40th n he was replying to her rsvp but he deleted the texts from her which he doesn't know that I saw him delete them.
He said she's pregnant to her bf in Aussie. N she's up on charges if stealing 20k from her old work n that she's trash.
He offered for me to meet her n that I can ask his bro n sil about her too.
I do trust him but its just weird that he deleted her texts. he said cheating on me would be Like cheating on our son n that he would be marrying me if he was just going to cheat. I do trust hu
m but the thought just keeps playing in my head.
I guess I'm just wondering what ur thoughts are on this? I'm just scared cause I do live him n I been cheated on in previous relationships n I'm in a city where I know no1

I say trust him fully unless u have a real reason not to. Being suspicious will only cause mistrust between you. I Can understand that u have been hurt in this way before, and you could be again, but dont try and find something that isnt there without reason.
I keep all my txts til my inbox is full- DH always always deletes every txt he sends and receives as he goes,... even if your DP only deleted these particular texts it was probably cos he knew u would be suspicious even tho there was no reason for you to be!
Good luck! I know its real hard to trust after you have been hurt before- those wounds take a long long time to fade and never really dissapear for good.

Totally get this. It helps me to remember that men are from Mars, lol- we just think so differently and what they think will be better for us - ie, deleting the innocent txt to protect us so we dont get upset,..is interrpreted way different by us!
How old is your son? Have u looked into any baby/kid groups where u can meet people too? We moved towns to where I knew no-one when DD was 1, and the first friend I made was from here- I just stuck up a post asking if there was anyone in Gisborne- we met up at a baby music group and are still friends now!

Your local plunket should have a list of pre-school groups in your area, or try the library or churches may have music groups.

Cool, well I hope u feel more settled in your new town soon. I find it takes me about 6 months to feel fully settled in a new town/city - mostly that was due to missing shops and moving to a smaller more isolated town each time, haha!
