hey, advice?
Evie has a white spot on her botom gum, right in the middle. it didnt use to be there, could this be the elusive first tooth, or some weird and wonderful mouth illness???

My PN told me that white dots aren't actually teeth. Coz the teeth come up in like a slit thru the gum (DS got his one sunday and is still just a sharp line thru the gum)
I don't think it's a mouth illness tho.

Your girl could prove me wrong and pop a tooth tomorrow lol but as far as I know it's not

You will know when its a tooth (yeah right your thinking), but you will. You can usually see two or three little bumps side by side under the gum, sometimes they take ages to get anywhere and others pop through really quick. I just noticed DD has two more on the way, luckily so far they dont seem to bother her.

my little one has a tooth right where you say the dot is, but also has a couple of dots down the side of her mouth which arent going to be teeth according to plunket - its like a calcification type thing - harmless apparently and will go away eventually

Yeah I doubt thats a tooth, if it is, it will feel hard.

Like the others have said a tooth will come up like a little slit under the gum and its kinda bumpy, and you WILL know its a tooth
