We were more like seven a day up to six weeks then DD2 changed to a weekly pooer and we use a lot less nappies now.

We stocked up. Big time. It has been great as we have only had to buy two packs of nappies since she was born (both newborn as my daughter was preterm so needed more). We still have dozens, and don't imagine we will need any more until perhaps March! I would advice stocking up on the infant size too, as they are generally in those for quite a while.

I would recommend not stocking up too much -- different brands also have different "fits", and it would pay to see what your baby is like.

DS has really big thighs (he gets that from me), and this means some nappies fit much better than others -- we ended up giving a lot away.

The specials also seem to come around pretty frequently anyway...

I have been told that 2 boxes is heaps for the newborn. But once again it depends on the size of the baby. I have bought 2 boxes of Huggies nb so fingers crossed hes not too big!!

Man 12 a day! And in sposies!

I am a cloth nappying mumma, I can't believe how much money you must be getting through, and the amount of stinky rubbish you must have.

Even in cloth DS2 gets changed 3 hourly, I certainly wouldn't bother changing for a pee during a feed, that is what the nappies are for!
