DS has gone RIGHT off solids..He currently is only eating cruskits and yoghurt. I can get sooome puree in to him if I'm lucky. He just crys and jams his mouth shut or shakes his head like 'no no no'
He used to eat HEAPS and was a great little eater but not now.
What should I do?

Oh that must be so stressful for you :-( TRY not to get too upset (I know that is hard!) as I'm sure they can feel it! I think it is common for bubbas to go off solids if they are getting sick or teething - could it be that??? Since your bubs is still breastfeeding, he is getting loads of nutrients and can survive on just bm.

It will sort itself out, don't worry!

He was sick last week and I guess he's teething - No teeth yet.

That could be it

My DS often went off his food when he had teeth coming through. I just gave him what I knew he would eat, which was mainly youghurt and fruit, it only lasted a few days and then he was back to eating normally.

I'd say teething.
DS went off his food for a bit and was grizzly then hey presto, out popped a tooth.

Just don't stress about it. Daniel did that millions of times. The more you try and force them to eat the worse it gets despite what the reason is for it. Just offer and if he wants it great. if he doesn't just leave it.. then he will go back to eating when he wants and gets over whatever his problem is.

I'm going through the same thing with Lily, she's barely eaten anything all week and last week she barely slept! Everyone keeps thinking teeth but nothing - her gums aren't swollen, no white dots, or raised bumps etc - nothing but pink gums!

I'm not overly worried because she is still BFing, but may go to the doc on Mon if it's still going, though doubt they can do much...

I would say don't stress and just keep offering purees (may be easier on the gums) or you could get ice block trays and make some puree or buy some (which ever) and make them as ice blocks for him to try (just done this today and will let you know how we get on!) but just offer still but don't force.

I'm pretty sure she does BLW, we do BLW but Lily's gone right off everything, although I gave her some frozen fruit chunks and she loved those!
