We are looking at purchasing a phil and teds buggy with a double kits for our next arrival and I just had a couple of queries about how they operate. I'm hoping some owners using double kits maybe able to help.
- Can the cocoon be used with the double kit attached on the front?
- Does the newborn have to lie flat in the buggy until 6 months when they can then be moved to the double kit on the back?
- Can the main buggy seat be reclined at all with the double kit on the back?
- Do you use the recline option on the double kit as I am looking at the latest model explorer which has no recline on the double kit. Is that going to be a problem?
- Also does anyone know what age the phil and ted sleeping bag fits until?
Thanks very much for any advice that people can offer.
I haven't used my doubles kit on my sport but I would use the recline as I would be moving bubs to the back earlier than 6 months. You could probably recline the main seat slightly with the kit on the back but not to the full extent.
I don't have a cocoon but if you are talking about the soft one it can be used in the main part of the pram. The peanut can't be used with the doubles kit.
- Can the cocoon be used with the double kit attached on the front?
Yes

I moved Morgan at about 4 months - she was a big strong baby.
- Can the main buggy seat be reclined at all with the double kit on the back?
Yes (Jake was 2 tho, so I didn't recline it)

Mine is older - so no recline on the double kit.
- Also does anyone know what age the phil and ted sleeping bag fits until?
