Topic: Babu Merino Blanket Posted: 17 July 2010 at 9:10am |
Hi
I have seen a Babu merino blanket on sale online and was thinking of getting it for my SIL in the UK who has just had a baby. I haven't seen it in real life though, and was wondering if anyone who has seen it or who has one can recommend it. Also, is it a thick blanket or thin?
TIA

I haven't seen the Babu blanket. But I have 2 JK merino blankets for DD, and I used them ALL the time. They are quite thin, but because they are Merino they are still very warm. The fact that they were thin was great, because they weren't bulky. I even used them to wrap her in the early days.
Anyway, just wanted to say, my merino blankets were one of the things i used most, I'm sure your SIL will love it.

Thanks Ella1. I ordered one and it arrived today. It's lovely - I don't want to give it away!

It's not super thick, but it is definitely thicker than a lot of other ones I have seen. It's ribbed and has a rough texture while still being soft and cuddly (IYKWIM).
It will be perfect for the Scottish winter, if I ever get aorund to sending it

Milliemoo - the Sleep Store has these blankets for $99 at the moment - that's an even better deal than the OhBaby discount.

I have this and I absolutely it!!!!! I bought it before my boy was born and he has used it ever since we came home. I doubled it over in the moses basket and have it full length in the cot. I'd buy another one at the drop of a hat!
