So I'm looking at these. I have a Moby with I like but don't love because I find it too much fussing around to get just right. Anyway, the features I want;
I want to be able to breastfeed in it.
Quick to put on correctly.
Baby lying down and sitting up.
Able to use from now (5 months) until I can't lift her any more.

Does this sound the right type of sling for me? I've checked out the slingbabies site but I'm after more personal opinions.

Cheers

I still use a Unido sling with Issy and she is 2.5 (although she obviously cant lie down in it anymore lol).

Its really quick and easy ... I always have one in the car for when either child "wont" walk and im in a hurry .. much easier than carrying them.

we didn't have a pouch sling but do have a ring sling and i find it great! it is very quick. I use it to chuck kiara in so i can carry henry at the same time if its just a quick trip like dropping him into preschool, if its a long trip like the mall i put her on my back in the manduca.
The good thing about the ring sling is that Dh can also wear it (there is a 60kg difference between us) we are completely different shapes.
I have breastfed in the ring sling and find the extra 'tail' great for using to cover my wobbly bits and also for draping over her head so she will go to sleep.
I don't like lying my children down in slings (personal preference) but it is do-able with a ring sling. Mine just go to sleep sitting up.
Hope that helps

You could always come to a Slingbabies meet and try a pouch or two on for size, see how it suits you and then go from there - that way you don't have to shell out for something you're not sure about yet.

I love my pouch for quick in and out trips to kindy drop off or the shops, but never got the hang of breastfeeding DD2 in it. The other great aspect is that they fold down so small and compact you can take them anywhere so easily!

i have a littlekiwis sling and a popit wrap which give me the option, for just needing something to get me and emmett from the car to the dr office, trolley at the supermarket etc places that im going to be in and out, i use the pouch sling as its very quick to put on baby can lie down or sit up, however i find i am always having to keep one hand on baby, my emmett is just a wee thing less than 6kgs at 5mths, but he is just as wriggly as a 5mth old lol. if i am going for a walk or am going to be in and out of the car all day etc i put the popit on before i get in the car and its not any different to the sling in regards to getting him in and out, and i feel he is a lot more secure it the wrap.
