Hey there, im not too sure on the ins and outs of this, but someone has posted a similar topic further down the page. It goes something like bd on the day of ovulation and the next two days.
Im in the same bost as you but wanting a girl this time but not bothered either way as long as the baby is healthy. Good luck for ttc #2
I'm also planning to try the Shettles Method (for a girl) later this year. I did a bit of investigating over the various NZ & Aus baby forums & it seems fairly popular with a reasonable amount of success (shettles claim 70% or higher success if done correctly) however I have heard a fair amount of forum stories with positive results too.
It's based around timing of ovulation & how close to ovulation you BD. For example if you BD on or just before OV day you have higher chances of conceiving a boy, but if you BD several days before OV (then stop DB'ing) you have a higher chance of having a girl. This is because boy sperm are fast swimmers but not very tough, and girl sperm are resilient but slow.
I'm reading the Shettles book (How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby) and it's very interesting, has helped me understand how my body & what DH's sperm work.
