I had decided I only wanted one child. Was absolutely sure. Then changed my mind one weekend. AF arrived after that. We BD just around OV and were pg first month. Talk about lucky. TTC is such an unpredictable journey.

DS was concieved early March (LMP late Feb) and was due end of Nov, came a week later early Dec, I'd JUST come off Depo thinking it could take around a year for it to wear off... nope... one massive AF (my mw reckoned possible mc as is common when getting preg too soon after Depo) and less than 4 weeks later bfp.
With DD (Diff partner) we started trying Feb 07 when I should have gone back for Depo top-up. (I started charting temps June 07) MC Aug and Oct 07, then nothing until Oct 08 when I got my surrprise bfp (we were told Aug 08 that we needed IVF due to male factor infertility)
This time around AF returned Oct 09 and we started trying straight away, one round of Clomid in June '10 and bfp less than 4 weeks later.
Just because you fell preg so easily first time around, it doesnt guarantee it will happen just as easily the next. We waited til the timing was 'right' and although i wouldnt change DD for the world, I wish I'd had a crystal ball and known it would take so long... if we'd started much sooner then MIL might have had the chance to meet her first grandchild, instead of waiting all those years and then passing away before she got the chance to. (DP is the youngest of 3 boys, is 34 and the only one to have bio kids)

2nd baby took literally a one night wonder vs. nearly a year of 'actively' TTC 1st baby! lol
Edited to add: was 'still' BF #1 at 10 months when we got UTD with #2...and BF continued through the pg...and still is....so BF not a great method of contraception unless it's 4 hourly 24/7 hehe

Jake 2nd cycle post mc, Oliver 3 cycles.
First pg "technically" was an "accident" as we were not trying as I had an abnormal smear and were waiting for 3 months to repeat the smear. We were not using protection as the 6 months previous I had not been ovulating so figured what was the point LOL

#1 Just over 2 and a half years and lots of failed rounds of high dose clomid. It wasn't until we had given up and were waiting for IVF that we got pregnant on our own.
#2 1st month. I got my AF back when DS was 18months old, I did 1 round of low dose clomid and pregnant by the time he was 19.5months old....go figure (not that i'm complaining )

Our 1st took 18 cycles and this time around only 3!
For DS I had AF mid-Feb, ov very end of Feb and he was due 21st Nov, but born early December. So I guess TTC in March would be the way to go. Good luck!!!

It took 6 wks with #1 and 3-4 months with #2.
But I also, totally stopped drinking alcohol and coffee and took Blackmores Conceive Well Gold. I think the giving up coffee and alcohol, for me helped a lot, as before that, BFN's and the month after I stopped drinking alcohol and coffee, I got UTD.

Over a year to get pg the first time and then immediately miscarried. Got BFP again 5 weeks after miscarriage.

I got pregnant twice in dec (due with aug babies) and mced..and got preg twice last weekend in may and had both boys in feb...lol:)
we got preg with the baby after Ethan almost straight away but mced so it was about 4-5 months after we lost baby we got preg with Liam.. so roughly 3-4 months a time.
