My partner is a cancer survivor and we are trying to get [her] pregnant. Does anyone know the risks with IVF if the natural method continues to be unsuccessful?

Thanks,

I am not much help either but did your partner have chemo? If so did they do an egg harvest first because (and I might be wrong) but I thought chemo can make you sterile. Best bet would be to talk to a dr or fertility consultant.

Good luck with TTC

I have a friend who had chemo. They stored her eggs but then she got pregnent naturally. She had one baby before the chemo. The doctors were suprised that she did so I guess its possible but unlikely.

Thanks all for the reply. My partner did not have her eggs stored but she did get some injections before and during chemo to try and protect the eggs.

We'll keep trying but want to try and understand if there are any risks with IVF post chemo.

Appreciate all the posts and good wishes. Thank you all!

OhBaby have an "ask the expert" section and there are several OBs and fertility specialists on there. They'd be your best bet.
