I was on Folic Acid, B6 (to extend my LP which was very short), charted and used Preseed and EPO as I had very little CM.

And LOTS and LOTS of sex.

Thanks - so do you take EPO in pill form? I know I dont get a lot of CM so is that meant to help that?

Beloved fingers crossed! And good on you for being a big vitamin taker - certainly makes you healthy I believe!

Hey Booboo, you can take EPO in pill form up to ovulation, it's good for creating more EWCM. Other things that are recommended are Robitussin, green tea and lots of water.

Thanks heaps LR!

Robitussin as in the stuff for coughs? So with EPO you only take it up to ovulation and then stop?

Yep just take it up to ov.

A lot of women swear by Robitussin for EWCM, I've never tried it though. If you do a google search on Robitussin and TTC you'll see what i mean!

All these things I forgot that I was taking last time, I'm surprised there was enough space for food with all the extras I was taking in the end

Zinc has been linked in lots of studies to help fertility in women. I think there's some connection with zinc and genetics. I know I've read that a cause of mc can be low zinc. Its also good for the men to take and gives the swimmers a bit more get up an go
Overall zinc is really good for lots of things but it's always good to get a blood test to check your zinc levels.

B6 is good for people with a short LP as has been know the lengthen it. The longer the LP the better to help with implantation. B6 is a vitamin that your body doesn't get rid of if you have too much, so it is possible to overdose and get side affects. B6 is often in lots of vitamins so if you are taking multi's check how much B6 is in each before you take straight B6, as you may already be taking plenty.

Magnesium is another really good mineral, it helps produce progesterone which is the most important hormone in early pregnancy. Deficiency can cause PMS problems and has been linked with mc too. Overall magnesium it a great mineral for lots of reasons. If you are going to look into this then chelated magnesium is the best.

I would always recommend to get a full blood count before taking lots of different things, and also speaking to a doctor or naturopath as they know what things you can OD on and what things won't do you any harm if you take them.

What I took before I got my first BFP was elevit, zinc, folic, and I was using a conception lubricant (not preseed). I also tried B6, EPO, aspirin, pineapple juice, grapefruit juice, gymnastics after BD'ing and anything else anyone suggested. If they said doing a naked rain dance would help I would have done it!

This time around I am just taking folic, eating super healthy (for other reasons not just TTC but it all helps!) and using conception lube. It's so easy to take lots of things and who knows what the magic pill is that will get us UTD. FX we all get BFP's soon so we can stop spending our money on pills and spend it on baby clothes instead

Yeah it's pretty good. I took that when we started TTC and also throughout the 1st trimester before we lost bubs. Both my GP and midwife said if I was taking that I don't need to take anything else. That was one of the main reasons I took it, to avoid taking so many other pills!

One of my work mates suggested i started on the elevit 3 months before we started TTC, i think it was just under that when i started.
Seeing as we're planning she said we may as do all the 'right' things from the word go. (look for it online, I googled it in NZ & found it for $70 for 100 tabs, in pharmacy's its over $100!!!!!)
