QuoteReplyTopic: Can a body clock change completely? Posted: 16 July 2011 at 10:35am
Our wee man has been sick with bronchiolitis this last week and has been refusing to BF. Arching his back and throwing his head back, been to the dr and she had said with the bug he has can be full of mucus and because its in his tummy can make him think hes full also the pressure of lying down he wont want to feed to hard and sore to suck, he doesnt like to take the bottle and isnt on solids yet so bf is his only way really to get a decent amount of fluids into him. The last couple of nights though he has been waking 4 plus times through the night to feed although not having 2 full sides i am obviously happy to feed him because he isnt drinking as much as he would throughout a *normal* day. Just wondering because he has been feeding through the night maybe his wee body clock is all mucked up and therefore not interested through out the day???? I would like my normally 2-3hour max boobie loving baby back?? Any suggestions?
while he is sick i would go with the flow he is getting fluids just not during the day but when hes all better then u can try to change it big hugs its horrable when they are sic
I agree with james, while he is sick just go with the flow. A friend's baby has the same thing and I asked the respiratory nurse for some hints to help and see mentioned saline drops in the nose before feeding, put the shower on hot so it creates lots of steam and then just have him the bathroom as the steam will help clear some of the mucous, and vicks on the chest.
Hope he gets better soon.
