Topic: Another BFing & AF question Posted: 22 May 2011 at 7:05pm |
I think I am about to get my period, it has been 80 odd days since my last one, I have been getting some cramping and my cervix has been low and closed for at least 15days (I've only been tracking it that long), pre-baby, my LP was only 13 days though.
But anyway, I have had seriously tender nipples for the past couple of days when DS nurses. I havent had this with any other AF and I've never had sensitive nipples, not even when we started BFing did I get this pain.
is this normal? Should I expect it with every AF??

Any chance your preggers? My nipples have been very sensitive since Ive been preggers.
If your cervix is low and closed (and has been for 15 days) I doubt youve oved yet.. as your cervix opens before/during ov (and also for af). My cervix was low and closed early on in pregnancy before moving up higher..
Even if your LP is 15 days long (I know mine was pre DD) I would doubt its much longer than that, from memory the longest is about 16 days? so, I think either your UTD or AF isnt about to arrive...
(eta in my totally non expert opinion )

Hehe Emmi!! I was going to say the same thing.
Any chance you could be UTD. Mine was very similar, long cycle and sore, sore nipples and off memory cervix was similar.
Its hard to know though, I kept thinking Af was about to arrive, cramping and all other symptoms and it didn't even earlier in my cycle.

Hmmm I wondered about being pg too, but did a test a couple of days go and it was negative.
I thought your cervix closed and dropped after ov and moved up and opened for ovulation??
Maybe I ought to do another test in the morn?

My nipples have been sore this week as well while bubs has been feeding and wondered what was going on and then a couple of days later my first AF showed up and they aren't sore anymore.

Just thought I would update this.
The pain in my nipples lasted about a week, and today AF arrived, so I assume it was due to ovulation, although I'm not sure what was up with my cervix position.
